Grand Draw Rules

- Please check these rules each time you wish to enter a new Grand Draw as the rules may have been changed by Children with Cancer UK since the last draw.
- The Promoter of the Grand Draw 2024 is Children with Cancer UK (Company Number: 04960054; Registered Charity Number: 298405). Responsible Person: Garth Caswell. Children with Cancer UK. Third floor, 21-27 Lamb’s Conduit Street, Holborn, London, WC1N 3NL.
- Children with Cancer UK is assisted by Woods Valldata, a licensed External Lottery Manager, Gambling Commission Account No:3586), Lansdowne House, Bumpers Way, Chippenham, SN14 6NG which carries out the postal fulfilment and conducts the draw.
- By entering the Grand Draw, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

- All profits from the Grand Draws go to Children with Cancer UK.
- Of the £764,721 total ticket sales in the three Grand Draws of 2023, 23% went on expenses, 13% on prizes and a fantastic £491,224: 64% came back to Children with Cancer UK and helped to fund our work.
ENTRIES
- The cost of each entry in the Grand Draw is £1.00.
- Players may purchase more than one entry into each Grand Draw, and payment must be received (and cleared) in advance of each draw through one of the available channels. In support of responsible gambling, players are limited to 60 entries per player per draw across all sales channels. This maximum is in addition to any entries a player has in Children with Cancer UK’s Weekly Lottery
- Unless specified within these rules, no refunds will be allowed after entries have been received, paid for and entered into the draw.
- Entries must not be sold by or to anyone under 18 years of age; underage play is an offence.
- To enter the Grand Draw online or via the telephone, an entrant must verify that they are 18 years old or over, provide their date of birth and address or contact details and make a payment for their entries.
- Children with Cancer UK reserves the right to carry out random age verification checks at any reasonable time either by direct contact with players or by using information from proprietary credit agencies or other similar third party agencies as it deems is necessary at the time.
- For any entrant who is found to be under the required age, any payments they have made will be returned, they will not be entered into any future draws and their right to any prize will be forfeited.
- Entries can only be purchased by individuals resident in Great Britain; any persons directly involved in managing or conducting the Grand Draw are not permitted to enter.
- Players can purchase entries online (https://grand-draw.childrenwithcancer.org.uk/) or by calling the lottery office on 0800 222 9000, using a debit card subject to providing the required personal data. Unfortunately, in accordance with Gambling Commission regulations, Children with Cancer UK is unable to accept payment by credit card online or over the phone.
- Players may also purchase their entries via the post and can pay by debit or credit card, cheque or postal order. Please note, Children with Cancer UK is not able to accept cash payments or Charity Aid Foundation (CAF) vouchers for lottery entries.
- Children with Cancer UK reserves the right to confirm that the entry criteria are met. Children with Cancer UK reserves the right to refuse entry into any Grand Draw where Children with Cancer UK determines that a person does not to meet these criteria or otherwise has not complied with these lottery rules. Any decision of Children with Cancer UK in this regard will be final and binding and the person will not be entered into the Grand Draw, they will automatically forfeit the right to any prize and any payments received from them will be retained as a donation towards Children with Cancer UK’s vital work.
DRAW AND ENTRY CUT-OFF DATES
- The next Grand Draw will take place on 13th January 2025. In the event that an Ad Hoc Bank holiday is awarded after our tickets have been printed, then the draw will take place on the next working day.
- All postal entries must be received by midnight on the 6th January 2025. Online entries close at midnight on the 6th January 2025.
- Players who enter by 1st November 2024 will also be entered into an additional ‘Early Bird’ draw to win one of 10 x £50 cash prizes.
DRAW PROCESS
- Grand Draw winners are selected using a random number generator, tested, and approved by a Gambling Commission certified test house to select electronic ticket winners and physical ticket prize positions. This is immediately followed by the random selection of the physical ticket winners. Prizes will be awarded in order i.e. first winner drawn being awarded the first prize, the second winner being drawn awarded the second prize, and third winner drawn being awarded third prize. The draw will continue in a similar fashion until all prizes are drawn.
WINNERS & RESULTS
- Winners (and up to 12 reserve winners) will be selected from all valid entries received by the cut-off date. Any entries received after the cut-off date will not be entered into the Grand Draw and the payments received will be treated as donations towards Children with Cancer UK’s vital work.
- Full results will be published on the Grand Draw website https://grand-draw.childrenwithcancer.org.uk/results/ by 27th September 2024 and available on request by calling 0800 222 9000 or emailing info@childrenwithcancer.org.uk.
- Winners will be individually notified within 7 working days from the draw date using the contact details provided at the time of entry.
- In the event that an advance payment has not been successful, contact with the winner cannot be made within 13 calendar weeks of the draw date, or the winner is found not to meet the entry requirements, or the prize is not claimed or cashed for any other reason, Children with Cancer UK reserves the right to withdraw the prize entitlement from the original winner and to award the prize to the next available reserve prize winner. If Children with Cancer UK is unable to distribute the prize to the selected reserve prize winners, for any reason, Children with Cancer UK reserves the right to withdraw the prize entitlement which will then be treated as a donation to Children with Cancer UK to help fund the charity’s work.
- Children with Cancer UK may request to use the winner(s)’ name, photograph and other reasonable details for publicity purposes. Any personal information collected by Children with Cancer UK in connection with the Grand Draw will be used in accordance with Children with Cancer UK’s privacy policy – (www.childrenwithcancer.org.uk/privacy-policy).
PRIZES
- There are 153 prizes on offer. Our 1st prize is a fabulous £25,000! Our 2nd and 3rd cash prizes are £2,500 and £1,000 respectively. There are a further 50 prizes of £50 and an additional 100 runners up prizes of £10 to be won. For those that respond to our ‘Early Bird’ draw, there is an additional 10 chances to win £50. Based upon the number of entries in our three raffles during 2023, the average chance of winning a prize for a single ticket is approximately 1 in 1666.
- There is no need to claim a prize. Prizes will be paid by cheque within 21 days of the draw date.
- Prizes are subject to availability and Children with Cancer UK reserves the right to substitute any prize with another prize of equal value. There are no alternatives to the cash prizes and no interest is payable in the event of delays in payment.
- Children with Cancer UK has no liability for loss, theft or delay due to post or any delays in bank payments.
LIABILITIES
- Players are responsible for providing and (where necessary) updating Children with Cancer UK with their accurate and up to date contact details. Players can update their contact details by calling 0800 222 9000 or by emailing info@childrenwithcancer.org.uk. Children with Cancer UK has no liability for any failure or inability to contact a player because of inaccuracies in contact details provided; loss, theft or delayed receipt of any communication sent by post; delays or failures in software or other systems used by Children with Cancer UK or its External Lottery Manager for the administration of the Grand Draw; or any event beyond the reasonable control of Children with Cancer UK or its External Lottery Manager.
DATA PROCESSING & PRIVACY
- Children with Cancer UK will collect and process participants’ personal information in order to conduct the Grand Draw and it will be shared with Children with Cancer UK’s agents and subcontractors to the extent necessary for the Grand Draw to be administered and the prize to be delivered to the winner.
- Players’ names and other personal details from their entry to the Grand Draw will be collected and stored by Children with Cancer UK and held in accordance with the applicable privacy policy in place from time to time (see childrenwithcancer.org.uk/privacy-policy).
GENERAL
- These terms and conditions are governed by English law. The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to hear any dispute or claim arising in association with the Grand Draw or these terms and conditions.
- Subject to clause 41 below, Children with Cancer UK’s decision on all matters affecting the draw is final and legally binding, no correspondence regarding the results of a draw will be entered into.
- Children with Cancer UK reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time and without prior notice, by posting amended terms on the Grand Draw website: https://grand-draw.childrenwithcancer.org.uk/
- Children with Cancer UK reserves the right to suspend, postpone or terminate the Grand Draw at any time and without prior notice. Children with Cancer UK will inform players in the event of a decision to suspend, postpone or terminate the Grand Draw. Where the Grand Draw is terminated, all payments for entries into the terminated draw will be refunded.
COMPLAINTS AND DISPUTES
- Children with Cancer UK operate a Complaints and Disputes Procedure. A copy of the procedure will be made available to customers upon request or downloaded from the Grand Draw website https://grand-draw.childrenwithcancer.org.uk/ .
- If your complaint relates to the outcome of your gambling transaction and cannot be dealt with by Children with Cancer UK to your satisfaction, you have the right, free of charge, to have the matter referred to IBAS. Independent Betting Adjudication Service, PO Box 62639, London, EC3P 3AS, 020 7347 5883, adjudication@ibas-uk.co.uk, an independent organisation offering alternative dispute resolution (“ADR”) services . Referral of the dispute to an ADR entity will not restrict your right to bring proceedings in respect of the dispute in a court of competent jurisdiction.
SELF-EXCLUSION
- Children with Cancer UK and its External Lottery Managers offer the facility for players to Self-Exclude from entering their lotteries. Information on the consequences of Self-Exclusion and a copy of the procedure is available from the Grand Draw website https://grand-draw.childrenwithcancer.org.uk/ or by contacting the office on 0800 222 9000 or by emailing info@childrenwithcancer.org.uk
